If a republican asked him if trump ordered him to stop investigation he answered no. If a democrat asked he answered maybe. Nothing like a solid basis to argue a crime was committed. (It isn't a crime either way...but I'll play along)

He always maintained that given the situation, including Trump's demonstration of corrupt intent by asking the others to clear the room, that he took it as a directive. You are just hearing what you want to here if you think he wavered on that at all.
