Fastest time of the year among all 100 meter runners in the world. Including pros like Justin Gatlin and Andre De Grasse and Usain Bolt.
And fastest NCAA time ever.
That's good and all, but no way in HELL the dude would beat Bolt. Would be entertaining to watch though, just to see the anticipation of people watching Coleman take the lead through 40m and think he legitimately has a chance to win the race, only to have Bolt fly past him like a bat outta hell at 50m+ while cruising to an easy victory.

Bolt's still the best runner in the world, but he has come down in the past 2-3 years. He's now winning titles with 9.79, 9.81, etc. But I'm sure he will close out his career this August with a final championship in the 100.
But once this cycle is up, it's anyone's game, and I think Noah Lyles in the 200 and Christian Coleman in the 100 are as likely to be the next star as anyone else.
With that being said, the next generation of stars will be like the pre-Bolt stars (Greene, Bolden, Bailey, Michael Johnson, etc) who are very good but not guarantees at every major title.
