Tailgaiting At the Box

Lived in Baton Rouge until the early 90s, family still lives there. Frequent visitor, but I'm an MSU alum
I've been to the new Alex Box but never for an MSU game nor a Super Regional...
Anyone's tailgate welcome MSU fans who like food and Miller Lites and college baseball in general? We'd be happy to supply our own booze and/or put hard cash in your hands for those who already have it in stock willing to share.
Otherwise i'll just spend 7 hours beforehand across the street at Walk On's.
I'll hang up and listen.

A few years ago I met about 5 MSU fans and we let them tailgate with us. They ended up coming back for a football tailgate and invited us to tailgate with them the year after at MSU.
Most people will likely be happy to tailgate with you. The field lot across Burbank from Walkons should be packed with tailgates.

I'd say 90% of tailgates would welcome you. Don't bring cash, most tailgates will have a beer to give you for free, but won't sell it to you. Bring your own ice chest.

My brother graduated from State, and Starkvegas isn't as bad as people make it out... But this weekend, frick State.

All of the lots on the side of Nicholson opposite of Alex Box are free. There will be some great tailgating going on in those lots all weekend.

Bringing an ice chest was question number 1....We'll definitely do that...It'll be 4 mid 30s guys without their wives looking to enjoy the day before the baseball game.
Quite aware we're the underdogs, so why not enjoy a great weekend with no pressure.

The lot across Nicholson would be perfect to park in. It's free and a lot of tailgates will be there.
You'll get "tiger-baited". Better check their knuckles before mouthing off because there is a Sonic a quarter of a mile down Burbank.

Walk around and start up convos with random people at tailgates.
Tell them you're a visiting fan and your back story and you'll end up with enough beer and food to last you all day.
Of course...this is the football tailgate model. Can't imagine it would be any different for baseball.

Everyone in the gravel parking lot (free parking) will welcome you. Hell, I'll throw a beer back with ya

People will welcome you but bring your own beer. While people will be warm and welcoming no one wants to supply 4 guys in their early 30s with beer all day and taking cash rubs some people the wrong way. Everyone is generally more than happy to share anything to eat.

We will be west of The Box behind the petroleum engineering derek in the Hayfield lot. Green and black Wrangler under the treeline
Bring an ice chest if you find yourself over that way. We will have a few state fans with us already

We may be at the same spot...

3rd base side, tailgates on the sidewalk under the trees will welcome you. We're on the end closest to the field.

How old are you? My buddies are hosting a tailgate that I'll be attending, but it is usually a pretty dysfunctional affair filled with shotgunning beers and yelling at women passing by that are remotely attractive. It can be uncomfortable even for me
. We're all recent graduates and in our mid-20s.

What time does tailgating usually get started around Alex Box on gameday?

Mid-30s, but, I'm there. I can also bring Fireball, in addition to copious miller lites.
When/Where.
