More specifically the series where the South wins the civil war?

Finished Guns of the South last night. I thought it was really good. It had a Stephen King 11/22/63 feel to it.

I started not too long ago and I'm on book 6, The Center Cannot Hold.
I love this whole series. I thought the middle 3 books would get slow, but not the case at all.
Freedom!

Interesting. What is the first installment of the series?

One of my favorite genres. I've read Guns of the South and the sequel, How Few Remain. Guns of the South is one of my favorite books - I've forced a few others to read it as well.
My favorite alternate history author though is Eric Flint. The 1632 series (or Ring of Fire anthology) is phenomenal. The first, 1632, might be my favorite book ever. Also loved Flint's 1812: The Rivers of War and 1824: The Arkansas War.

How Few Remain - Second War between the CSA and USA in the 1880s. Told from historical viewpoints such as old Abe Lincoln who was never killed, TR, Jeb Stuart, ect.
The other books in the series are told from fictional characters but have historical people mixed in. George Custer is supreme commander of the USA in the Great War (WW1 basically) that takes place between the south and the north.

Guns of the South has nothing to do with this series. There's no weird science fiction in this one, just alternate history.
