You fix the car, get liability insurance and drive it to the State Police behind the DMV on Independence.
They inspect it and make sure you have receipts.
Then you go to notary that deals with the dmv with the state police inspection and receipts in hand.
You'll have to fill out some paperwork. No big deal.
The notary will turn in the Salvage title and you will get a "Reconstructed" title in the mail.
Then you go get the Inspection sticker. Just like normal, every year.
You will never get anywhere close to blue book value for later sales or trading it in. But you're likely that get many years of driving a dependable vehicle, if you take care of it.
