You aren't wrong in that those groups will reap some benefit, but before major improvements are made to the highways and bridges, those same groups will be involved. Do you think something is just going to shite another Miss. River Bridge? It's going to have to be designed and built and nobody on this earth is going to do it for free. Money is going to have to be collected from somewhere BEFORE that bridge shows up. Where do you propose it come from? I can tell you, no matter what you cut out of the budget, that kind of money is not there.

Understood. The legis and DOTD have shite the nest with the past misuse of gasoline tax revenues.
