THANK YOU!!! And that's what everyone is missing in this. It had to be that the umpire felt Quinn did something that altered her path or speed to the plate. Being able to watch replay after replay, I didn't see it, so in my non-umpire opinion, it wasn't the correct call. But at game speed, the umpire made the decision she thought was correct. I don't agree with it, but that is irrelevant. But some of the comments here about knee touching the ground, catcher can't block the plate without the ball, etc, etc, are just incorrect. There is more than 1 part to the rule.

Apparently Hannigrif got clarification from someone at the game that the knee on the ground was why the obstruction was called...
but it's not part of the rules as far i read

Looks like the NCAA wants same conference schools playing right off the bat. Seeding is screwy and looks crooked. They don't want one conference in the finals, that's for sure. They want balance, diversity, gag me with a freakin' frontloader....
