Maybe I misunderstood.....Fasting ends at sundown.(Ends at sundown every day during Ramadam) that is when sundown is on that date in NY, according to the article.

Don't they typically serve dinner at the very start of these events? I believe that's how ours was, and I know every birthday ball I've ever been to was like that.
