outside of the internet i never talk about religion with friends in family. just because i realized that religion is a crutch for people to not have to wrestle with their own mortality, doesn't mean i should shite on my friends and family who are using said crutch to make it through life without overly stressing out.
unless somebody starts preaching at me
I don't use religion as a crutch. Being a Christian doesn't mean death, itself, isn't scary or uncomfortable to deal with. It is, because it isn't natural. Our natural state is eternal life where our bodies and souls are united. But, my faith isn't about coping with death. I rarely think about death, actually. I focus on my relationship with God in how I worship and how I relate to others here and now, on earth, in my mortal body. My life is one of love towards God and man, though I fall short often. It isn't about fear.
