Smart people do dumb things all the time. And if he had the e-mails he would (I think) have a backup copy. The big red flag for me, is where is the backup copy?
Another red flag? How did he get the e-mails? Like I said...I haven't really been following this too closely. (I prefer to wait until there is more than just a little smoke) In his job, would he have access to all those e-mails? Seems odd for a relatively low ranking person to have access to sensitive e-mails.

But he also doesn't reveal sources.... sooo that leaves us in a bit of a conundrum.

I would agree. Maybe he backdoored his way into them. That puts the assertion that Wikileaks' source obtained them "legally" in question.
