Very irresponsible mother was out with friends until late, picked her kid up from babysitter/friends house afterwards, stopped by kroger, and left him asleep in the car while she ran in to get something.

It was stupid, but that doesn't make her child being murdered her fault.

Also, to be fair, its a well lit parking lot usually with heavy police presence. Even at that hour, it was a very bold car theft. Cameras were great too, that's how they were caught within hours.
