Put it in the oven on around 225-250. Let it get warmed up and then scrub with paper towels or steel wool. If there is build up you are using it wrong. After every use, while still warm, you will need to rinse it with hot water, wipe it out, and stick it either on the stove or back in the oven to dry. Maybe a light coat of oil if it needs it.
