Actually you can find papers Lincoln wrote early on talking about it. He stopped talking about it towards the end, but that doesn't change the fact. He offered $50 for any man who took a former slave south to work.

If you want to argue that his position changed towards the end, that's fine. But his position on African Americans wasn't what people today try to make it.

Edit. Even your link says what I said. He wanted it and supported it and talked about it. But his position "changed" towards the end. Was that a true to hart change, or a political move to gain support of blacks who wanted to stay is still debated. And we will never know the true answer.

Big difference between colonization and sending them down to banana plantations already owned. They explain that pretty well.

I still don't care either way but making Lincoln out to be a villain doesn't help your cause.
