Best place for lessons not named la triomphe. Not looking to qualify for a us open but would like be competitive with friends that shoot in low 80s

Chris at Spanish Trail. Little guy, big SUV.

Chris is at LeTriomphe
Mark is at Spanish Trail which is who I would recommend.
I hear the guy at the Wetlands is solid as well

He is not there anymore. He is out of the golf business, but can still be found to get a lesson.

David Gary. He is good as well.
It really depends on how the OP learns best. Cliff and David use video and are bit more technical. Mark Popp does not use video and teaches more by feel.

I have nothing else to add to the thread. I've never had a lesson. I'm naturally bad at the game.

Yea I know Mark works in sales now. I played last weekend with him I still get my lessons from him. But his name is still up at Spanish in case he went there, being that he thought Chris was still at Spanish.
Yea the other guys use video where Mark is more feel.
It's really up to his preference on a more technical approach or a feel approach

He isn't talking about Chris Popp. He is trying to be funny and failing miserably.

Ahh my fault, have you had lessons from David? Heard good things about him

Yes. I did a couple of years ago. I have taken from everyone mentioned in this except Chris Popp. I no longer play golf except for client scrambles.

Chris Popp at LT, not sure if he's taking new clients though

What are you currently shooting?
Also, to all these people who are suggestion guys, how much are those guys charging per hr? I took some a few years back from a woman at The Farm. I can't remember how much I was paying.

Lessons would range between 50-100 dollars an hour

Yeah I think I was pay around that when I went. She was a good teacher, I just wish I could have kept going.

Best I have shot is a 101 usually in the 105-110 range. I have always counted all my shots. Try to give real scores so I can see actual progress.

Then Mark Popp is probably best for you.

you and I are in the same boat. before kids when I was playing every weekend, the best I could shot was a semi legit 89. But that was quite a few mulligans.
Nowadays, I can't even break 100. That's playing once a month if I am lucky.
