Horace Grant nor BJ Armstrong ever made an allstar team while a teammate of Micheal Jordan. Dennis Rodman's last all star game was 1992. Scottie Pippen was the only allstar that Micheal Jordan played with in his entire career that's "1" total.

Michael retires and Grant and Armstrong become all stars immediately. Pippen finishes 3rd in the MVP voting. Sounds like Jordan was in the way.

Making the all-star team is heavily dependent on volume numbers and they were third/fourth options on a team with the lead guy taking 25+ shots a game. Neither was any lesser of a player for it; in fact Grant's best year of his career was probably '92 as he put up high marks in basically every advanced statistic (all better than any year Bosh had with LeBron on the Heat) on top of great defense.
You also didn't address the fact that LeBron has made the finals twice with one or both of his all-star teammates injured.
