Just wondering.
Yes, but there is a clock that starts running when they first enroll, and all eligibility must be used during the time limit, which I think is five years. So, if they play for two years, then sit out for two, they can still only play one more, even though they still have two years of eligibility they haven't used. I think BYU might get an exception to this because of their two-year Mormon mission thing, and players can get exceptions on a case-by-case basis for hardship circumstances such as injuries, etc.

That's not true. He didn't enroll, and he didn't have only one year of eligibility. He played in 1999 and 2000, and was eligible to play in 2001 but opted to enter the NFL draft instead.
