I went through something like this. Were being told to hire people, so we did and were in process of doubling the size of out team to about 40 people.

Then we had a surprise conference call to tell all of us that we were done.

Most of my people found a job within the company.

I said f it and left. It was a shitty way to treat us. Had a spot within the company and turned it down.

Peaced and have been happier ever since. Even get to drink beer on the clock with the owners of the new company.
