To me Buckeye06 all that jargon is just semantics.

As a pure basketball player, who is better?

The only thing keeping me from saying Lebron isn't the best ever is his sorry outside shooting and free-throw percentage. He has limits and teams have taken advantage (notoriety of San Antonio series a few times and Mavericks). Jordan had no limits offensively. He was an offensive wizard. His athleticism and fundamentals off the charts and one of the best post-up players of all-time.

If Lebron had better outside percentage and free-throw he would be best ever.

If prime MJ and prime LBJ played concurrently in either era, LBJ would be the player you're more concerned about.

Let's put it this way. Jordan does what LeBron did in Miami, and joins Barkley and still has Pippen. You think anyone contends with that team? LeBron lost 2 titles with his super team. Wade began to deteriorate and Bosh had some injury problems, and I understand that.

For some reason, people on this board think they are smarter than all the basketball executives who unanimously say Jordan is the GOAT.

Lebron is a top 3 player, and I hope people don't argue that. I've always said that LeBron wouldn't be LeBron without Jordan. It's unfair to LBJ in some ways, but it's true.

For him to pass Jordan to me, he would need to win probably 2 more, and take the PER title all time as well. He probably won't be able to do that, as his PER is declining as he gets older.

It's cliche, but if I'm starting a team to win a game, Jordan is getting picked before LBJ
