That was then and it got changed in midstream. When the draft went down, the framework went with it. To actually institute another draft, a more applicable framework 1would have to be developed and established. That said, I don't see another draft in my lifetime unless there is absolutely no other choice (in my case, I am way too old now).

However, if we all get into a nuclear pissing contest with each other, there won't be a need for a draft as the war will be over with in little more than a few hours.
