Ive noticed ever since he has put his foot back on the gas after 2011, we have been in the running to win it all each year, which is more than almost every other program can say
i don't know what this rambling means other than, he's not even in the top 7 in cws wins since that time. NO LSU FAN SHOULD BE OK WITH THAT.

Whoever your best college coach is, im sure i could take a 5-7 year stretch and make it look less than elite.

So, in your opinion, those are all better coaches than PM? And we should fire him after this season and go after all of those names?

Tadlock? Van horn? Savage? fox? O'Sullivan?

Do yiu really think these guys with losing records in omaha are significant upgrades?

Van horn has done less than PM in omaha. He is a good coach, but far from elite.

Savage has had 2 of his last 3 teams finish below .500 and are at .500 this year. He wouldnt make it at lsu with that kind of 4 year run.
O'sullivan has had more talent at florida than PM has at lsu and has done less with it, no Nattys with several top 3 teams.
Tadlock is a potential guy, risky, because he hasnt coached long, but he is 1-4 in omaha according to you, so nope.

Fox hasnt made a regional the last 2 years and has a sub .500 cws record as well with no national championships

they have better records in pretty much the only measure that counts for college baseball

are you ok with the premier program squeaking into the top 10 in cws wins over a 7 year period?

no question about it. they are more competitive in omaha. oh and btw, they are better so far this season. and before you dispute van horn, check the standings. lsu took the series and they are STILL ahead of lsu.

even if lsu wins several games at the cws this season, mainieri STILL won't be in the top 5 over an 8 year period. once again, WHY ARE YOU OK WITH THAT? i can't get a mainieri supporter to answer that question.

Of course i would like there to be more wins, but in a small sample size of games, the luck hasnt gone lsus way

Mainieri has beaten van horn straight up in omaha twice.
Id check the regular season standings, but according to you, they dont matter.
Ive answered why im okay with that. A very small sample size of games in which luck is often involved.

The fact that you think savage or van horn are better than PM just shows your bias. Ive proven they arent using stats.

in the last 7 years? nope. right now, the two are looking pretty even and that's really bad for mainieri. he's in charge of the only ferrari in the game

not really but, they do show that van horn is absolutely keeping pace with mainieri. given the fact that some lsu fans make fun of van horn, without the facts, what does that say about mainieri?

7 years of cws games is "small"?

Look at the post above where i broke down each cosch for you.

You would rather have savage, a guy who cant get his team to a regiona 2 of 4 years, as our head coach.

And the fact that you think lsu has the only ferrari in the game is laughable.

I could show you other "facts" showing that they are worse. Wanna know how? Ill look up cws wins in the last 3 years, van horn wasnt there, neither was savage.

Its easy to cherry pick "facts". You rather a coach with a better 7 year omaha record but a worse last 3 year record.

you would pick mainieri over him, a coach who has the premier program yet, can't win a game in omaha. good thinking.

perhaps you aren't aware that lsu baseball spending nearly doubles every other program.
