had this problem today testing with speedtest-cli on my headless server...jumped onto att.com/speedtest (per the advice of the chat tech) on my laptop and got 860+ up and down consistently. I didn't believe it so I jumped into a VM on the server that was giving me low numbers and got high results from att.com/speedtest...tested the same VM on speedtest.net and sub 400-600 again.

That's not possible. At&t would never lie to or treat their victims like that.

FWIW, techs in the field use speedtest.net. It reliably gives a better indication of speeds. The ATT version usually reads out overall slower speeds, but it can also read high.
