Kicking Update

Been a while since I have reported anything. Although, not much to really report right now. I know most think that Culp is our next starting Kicker. That is primarily the product of where Culp was as a HS Senior compared to where Gonsoulin was as a HS senior combined with Culp being on scholarship.
However, since that time and as of today....I can tell you that Jack and Connor are really neck and neck. I predicted at the end of last year Jack would make a strong run at the starting job. At year end, Jack was hitting the best ball of any of the guys. Of course, all this can change in a heartbeat when they start charting the guys in the summer.....but it is and will likely continue to be one of the quiet battles for a starting position.
Gamble will retain KO duties, but I am making no prediction as to who wins out between Jack and Connor.
As a sidenote......saw Leonard and Lanard today. Leonard is looking good... just like a guy who is about to be a multi-millionaire in less than a month.

Good to know. It has been taken as matter-of-fact that Culp will win the job, because of outside evaluation as well as familiarity with his talent. Even Jimmy Deets proclaimed him as "the real deal".
To hear that Gonsoulin is pushing Culp for the position is obviously a good sign. As long as Gamble can produce a few touchbacks per game this season, we should be in good shape with the kicking situation.

I just want to know one thing. Will we kick the ball in the end zone this year during kickoffs?

I don't care who it is...as long as they are good.
Are they good? Is it close because they are both great? Or both averaage?

I guess the admins don't like either kicker, this thread looks like it had been anchored... haha!
