re: What is your opinion of those who get rid of their dogs?

After undergraduate graduation I left for OCS USAF then language school and had to leave my life long German Shephard with my sister and her roommate, they were renting an older house with a large yard out in the country so he had plenty of room to roam around, and he kept them feeling safe. He was already 13 when I left and he lived another 4 years. Passed while I was gone. Sad times.
