The past two years of Steph were definitely better than this years KL. He took a step back to help the transition for KD easier but that shouldn't be taken as he is overrated like some people like to claim

He's taking more shots this year per game than he did two year ago. He is just missing a lot more. He is still an elite shooter, but he has fallen off his historic rate of the past two seasons. If anything he is taking more open looks this year and missing more on uncontested shots. He is having a bad year compared to what people have come to expect from 14-16. He is still an elite shooter and a top 5-10 player, but his numbers this year don't have him in the top 3 discussion or best player in the world discussion that the previous two seasons catapulted him to. Is he "overrated" as in a role player? He'll no. Is he "overrated" in the sense that he was considered a 1B or clear #2 best player in the world coming into this season? Yes.
