Anybody heard about the trend of people particularly high school and college kids selling Cutco Knives?

What about taxes, and travel expenses and the documentation that goes along with being a salesperson? Maybe I'm too skeptical.
You're not skeptical, you're logical. This is just another one of those "be your own boss" marketing schemes that catch people's attention because they make it sound so easy to make money.
I know quite a few young women who've done Pampered Chef, Stella and Dot, It Works, Mary Kate, Juice Plus, Advocare, Rodan and Fields, and so on. They make a few bucks at it, but by the time you factor in the amount of time spent at it and expenses for travel and hosting "parties" to try to sell to family/friends....its not worth it and they end up quitting. Always the same people over and over...quit one of those programs because the little bit of income wasn't worth all the time and effort or they ran out of friends/family to sell to.
