Pretty sure he just thought she wasnt paying attention and wanted to contact her in lue of a high five which is the tradition in softball
used to do that shite all the time in football lines in HS, dudes were paying attention or if i just wanted to be quick, a little slap on the shoulder had the same effect
he wasnt "shoving" her as people are outraged about and she was clearly trying to find something to react to because she had a bone to pick with the guy.
