On March 24th, as the Congressional investigation into Trump's ties to Putin kept acquiring momentum, we received an unexpected boon: A Twitter account going by @KevinK_2012, and claiming to be from Westerly, Rhode Island, left its geotagging on - thus locating the origin of its tweets in Saratov, Russia.

Could it be the opposite? Could the Russians purposely have left the geo tag on so that people think they "figured out" that it's a Russian propaganda account even though they WANTED to make you think they were oblivious that they left it on?
Then those who read the pro-conservative tweets will think those ideas are pro-Russian propaganda and thus make Americans disregard those conservative thoughts and push them in the opposite direction.

Sure. That's why you have to dig for as much information as possible and try to get an accurate picture.

The problem with that website is that it's written anonymously. Who knows what their agenda is?
One also has to look critically at the fact that the twitter poster left his geotagging on, since that seems like a rookie mistake. Maybe did it on purpose?
Eta: add second paragraph.

Really funny that a known CTR shill would be on here shilling for prop or not, a site that believes Ron Paul is a Russian operative.

From Prop or Not
quote:
Russian state and intelligence services would love to see Trey Gowdy replace James Comey as FBI Director, presumably because he would not effectively investigate Trump's collusion with Russia. It also indicates that Gowdy may himself by compromised by Russian intelligence, whether through cooption or blackmail, and should immediately recuse himself from all related investigations and submit to counterintelligence investigation.

No secret I subscribe to US/UK/European Intelligence Community interpretation of what's happening.
IMO, this is a good way of looking at it:

IMO, this is a good way of looking at it:

Russian Propaganda Targets All Americans
While Russian influence operations resemble a marketing effort in some ways, only a few dozen individual outlets ("sources") actually produce large amounts of original propaganda content. That content is then echoed, extended, and amplified through an immense number of secondary sites ("repeaters"). Both source and repeater outlets target a wide range of audiences: US military veterans, Wall St. insiders and finance specialists, natural-food and health enthusiasts, goldbugs, African-Americans, white Americans, peace activists, religious people, 9/11-"truthers", and politically-active Americans across and outside the political spectrum.

Known CTR shill? LOL Put your big boy pants on and drop the conspiracy drivel.
I've always said I side with US Intel Community interpretation of Russian activity.

You linked a site that claims Trey Gowdy is a Russian operative, and I'm the one peddling conspiracy drivel. Unreal.

Look at his history, he's a faux intellectual who is beyond clueless when it come to most everything, especially economic issues.

quote:I don't believe they said he is a Russian operative. They just prefer him because they think he doesn't believe in the Trump/Russia narrative and would be less likely to investigate.
