$700/ acre isn't very cheap for something 5000 miles away. You can find land for under $1000/ acre in places like Tennessee, Kentucky, ms, etc. that is isolated and not useful for agriculture.

Are you at least buying waterfront and a decent chunk? I mean I wouldn't buy 3 acres of isolated woods 400 miles from no where just because I had $2100
