re: How Long Should one be off work for an appendectomy?

Friend at work had it done while we were away at a a 3 month training. Remember it being a big deal since we were hours away from home in bumf**k Mississippi. There was no way he was getting back to work within the first 3 days. I think all in all he was out 5 days. We did some physical work in addition to office work during that training and he had to sit out of the physical stuff even longer. And this was a guy who religiously went to the gym. It killed him to not work out. But it really screws with your abs, so lifting or anything strenuous takes a while.
