Colleges are on a more level playing field and there are more teams close to you that you can follow and become fans of. Plus with the smaller local coverage, its easier to keep up with.

both good points.
and before anyone comes in talkin shite about the big teams in college basketball having too much talent. How many fricking teams had a shot at an NBA title when this year began? 3? maybe 4?
there are about 12 teams with a legit shot at winning an ncaa tourney right now, with 6 games left to play starting yesterday, and a lot more that making it to next weekend is like winning a championship
