I have an automatic waterer hooked up like below. Everytime i go out there there is none in the cup or just a drop in the cup. i will press the release and fill cup and birds come by and drink. Are they drinking it and the cup not supposed to have any in it? I just got the birds sat and wana make sure the things are getting water

They will eventually figure it out. Mine did after a couple days of me doing the same thing your doing it's designed so the birds could get water as needed I check mine every day and it doesn't have water in the cup but I see the chickens peck at it and drink from it
