There are a lot of corners in the draft every year. There were corners in the draft when they picked PRob. There were corners in the draft when they picked Jean-Baptiste.

Let me ask you this--Would you spend #32 on Butler or PRob?

Agree with this.

It's pretty amazing how many of our fans would rather us roll with a rookie + the oft-injured duo of Williams and Breaux rather than giving up the 32 and getting a proven CB. I get the concerns with a player coming out of the Patriots system, as well as the big contract, but this is a risk worth taking, IMO. We've addressed many of our issues this season (both players and coaches), and now have two main holes left to address (CB and DE). We have the resources (multiple 1sts, cap space) to fix one of these holes in a major way, so why not do it? I would be more hesitant if #32 was our only 1st, but isn't.

My guess it that it takes #32 to acquire him, and $12-$13 mil per year to sign him. Very costly, but worth it given the position that the team is currently in.
