I've had Texas fans tell me that they were glad they got to play Notre Dame that year and not LSU. Plus they saw the result of the Sugar Bowl when Ole Miss beat Arkansas showing how much better the SEC was compared to the SWC that year. They know that the Cotton Bowl would've been a tough game for them to win and that Cholly Mac had a history of beating the SWC in that game. Good grief.....it's not too hard to figure out.
