I'm not a parent but I would rather catch my children drinking. I plan on exposing my children to alcohol around the age of 18. No, I will not be giving them a bottle of tequila, nor encouraging them to drink by any means. However, if they want to have a small glass of wine, or a beer at the dinner table sometimes,(legal in the sate of LA) that's fine. I don't want alcohol to be some big and unexplored mystery for my children when they finally live away from me. They're going to drink when they go to college anyway. All of us did.

So many of my classmates went absolutely crazy with alcohol the moment they left home in an act of rebellion. Most of their parents sheltered them so much they had no idea how to handle themselves in social drinking situations.

You dont think your kids will be exposed to alcohol before 18?

Anyways, I would rather catch my kids smoking. Alcoholism runs in my family, hell my dad wakes up with the shakes every night and has to drink vodka to fall back asleep. He has been in and out of treatment many times. These problems simply dont exist with weed
