Valentine hopes to visit LSU in the summer. Valentine picked up his first offer, from Kentucky offensive coordinator Eddie Gran, two Monday nights ago. UCLA offered this afternoon. Florida, Akron, Oregon, USC, Tennessee, Iowa State and Southern Miss have also offered. UCF, Louisville and Wisconsin are showing interest.

Last season, as a junior, Valentine rushed 92 times for 884 yards, including a 9.6 yards per carry average, with nine touchdowns en route to a state title. He also caught nine passes for 187 yards with two scores.

Valentine (6-2, 190) ripped impressive times on the track early this spring including a nation’s best 6.77-second 60-meter indoor dash. He also ran a 10.44-second 100-meter dash last Saturday to go with a 21.6-second 200-meter dash.
