You're basically saying he is worth more to us because we picked him in the 1st round and he produced,, and i would agree with that. Doesn't mean his market value is equal to that. This whole thread is getting that mixed up

The initial investment doesn't up his value to other teams, but it does up our asking cost if someone wants to trade for him 2 years earlier than we need to part with him or sign him long term.

That's why I don't believe any rumors that are for less than at least a mid round first, but even that is low.
