I've been to Lincoln twice for football games. The children of the corn is not an overstatement.

It's their identity. I'm talking at a very personal level. Which is impressive and sad at the same time.

No kidding. I went in 1998 (watched the Horns break the 47 game home winning streak) and 2002 (thanks Jamal Lord). It's unreal. The interstate was bumper to bumper heading Southwest from Omaha to Lincoln. Every car had Husker bumper stickers, flags, etc. The road going to Omaha was empty.

On Gameday, (except for the Texas fans in burnt orange) the entire city was covered in red. They come out in full force and are an extremely loud and passionate group. I'll stand by my statement that no other fan base is as passionate as they are. You'll have some that rival them or are comparable, but none exceed Nebraska.

ETA: Frick it. It was one of my favorite UT moments.
