I'm not a fan...unless they have served prior. Just seems like such a technicality to wear it. Now, if they were previously in, totally all for it and encourage it. But for those without, I think it is tacky.

Just know that Obama, Clinton and so far, Trump did not put on a military uniform.
Also, as the leader of the military, putting on the "ship's hat" and a jacket with commander in chief on it should not be an issue for sane folks.
Anyone that criticized Obama for "military" garb was also insane in my opinion.
ETA: Please just admit that this became an issue now because of Trump. I appreciate honesty.
