Please help a newb out.

I purchased a PoE camera and injector from Amazon. The camera does not power up when connected to the injector.

The injector is a 4 port unsolicited PoE switch

Instructions were typical Engrish but I have the camera up and running via the external power adapter. I'd just like to learn what I did wrong. (besides not having my wife/professional do it)

This is the only camera I have thus far but I am looking to add more soon.

External adapter outputs 10V 1A which is within the range of the injector.
