I agree..It's an odd comparison now. It's 180 degree off, but hopefully the result will be the same.

That time worked because the rhetoric was that racisism was justified because of this or that...when television was able to show what was actually happening and it conflicted with the narrative, people minds started to change. The 180 degree turn is that the media, that has the ability to show what is actually happening, have taken to want to hide it and go back to relying on a narrative. This is why important events like the destructive "protests" are not covered..the fake "hate crimes" are not exposed etc. Those very same institutions that in the past helped inform people are now the ones who push disinformation in order to protect their ideologies. Now it's on the alternative news and information sources via blogs, "citizen journalists" etc, to break that barrier.

We have met the enemy and he is us.
