In the 1960's people were willing to get out in the streets and confront government wrong doing, which was actually a good thing.
The police rioted in Chicago, 1968.
Dan Rather was assaulted on the floor of the Dem convention, 1968.
Not to mention Dr. King killed in April and Bobby Kennedy killed in June, 1968.
Crazy time.
But definitely the day the Music died.
