According to the Tuscaloosa News, Saban might just promote Joe Pendry to OC. I don't like that idea but oh well. We'll have to see how it all shakes out.

don't you know that the posters on their boards are just doing what posters on all boards do. makes good talk for them and other boards, but that is all. this board does the same thing!

I can tell you that I have no interest in Crowton. Not to begrudge his offense, because I liked the things you guys did this year, but I just would rather reach out for some new face to bring into the conference.

It's a front page article written by a staff member of BOL (Bama on Line); BOL is nothing more than Tigerdroppings.com. Do you think that gives the article more credibility?

Considering the bad blood between Miles and Saban, Crowton won't even interview for the job. If he does, he better get the job because Miles will replace him after the national signing date.
I would.

I'm guessing the ad in the employment section of the t-town news rag went something like this:

University
Athletics
Football
Offensive Coordinator

The University of Alabama is seeking qualified candidates interested in becoming the offensive coordinator for its football team. Job duties shall include:

(Rant fill in here. Should be fun).

Successful candidate shall be satisfied to work for minimum wage, as all other financial resources have been pledged to the head coach.

Those fockers think Bill Walsh might come down there. Don't ever underestimate the delusion of the Gumps.

I'd give 2 to 1 odds that the feeling is mutual.
What the hell, I'll give 100 to 1.
You're not related, right?

No sane Bama fan really thinks Crowton is an option. I personally would love to have him because I think he is a great coach, but there is no way he is going to make that move.

Rumors start so easily.....

Here is a potential list if anyone is interested

Jeff Brohm
Norm Chow
Tom Clements
Chrip Kelly
Gus Malzahn
Joe Pendry
Steve Sarkisian
Dabo Swinney
Chris Hatcher

I personally am afraid that Pendry is going to be the guy. I don't understand Saban's love fest with the guy...

"The word" is that Bama has no problem paying $400,000 to $500,000 annually for a veteran OC. We shall see. I hope they don't hand it over to Pendry, his track record is bad. They need to bring in a guy with some credentials and give him the keys, and narrow Pendry's focus to the linemen.

Bama you are stuck with Pendry. Pendry must have something on Saban. Pendry was with the Texans and was awful. Without Jimbo, Saban would not have been as sucessful at LSU. And remember, his success happened when the SEC had a changing of the guard - Spurrier left Florida, Tenn. was headed down,Richt just getting established at Ga.
