First, it's an idiotic move.

Second, you're taking the full hit with either designation.

But literally the only reason to take the full hit in 2017, which I highly doubt they'd do, would be to sign a player this offseason.

And that makes your other point look even more retarded.


Third, link to the Saints saying they aren't going to designate him June 1st? Because that isn't what the link actually claims.

Again you CLEARLY don't know shite about the cap.

The dead money is around $8 mil now. His originally cap hit was a little over $11 mill.

We save $3.7(?) mil on the cap now.

If designated as a June 1st cut, which won't be known until he is actually cut, we save an additional $4.2 mil on the cap, which comes from that portion of the dead money being pushed into next year.

Learn to cap or shut the frick up about things you don't know.
