Anyone getting free PSN glitch?

My brother's PSN account expired, but he has been receiving free PSN for the last two months. We thought something was wrong with his account, but he can make as many accounts as he wants and play online for free as long as it is on his PS4. He checks his bank statements and account every week; still no charges.
Anyone else have this happen to them and know why it might be?

Yes, his account hasn't skipped a beat. The thing is, he can do it with any account now so he's made tons of duplicates for smurf.
One clue might be his internet. For that period of time, he timed out of his internet frequently when playing online. Maybe that had an effect?

No idea what this means.
And sometimes it happens. I had a sub to ESPN the magazine that I let laps but continued to get copies for at least a year afterwards. I don't imagine it's anything more than a glitch in their system, but I don't know the ins-and-outs of how PS+ works.

I'm so glad you brought this up. A couple of days ago I thought to myself "I bet my PS Plus is out bc I haven't paid it in forever". I looked and I still have it. I haven't paid for that in months. I honestly don't remember the last time I paid for it. I never use a credit card, I just buy the PS Plus cards and type in the code. I'm guessing it's a glitch

Might try that myself. But his is tied to his credit card, so it must be a glitch in the system.

The interesting thing is it's tied to his actual console, not his account.

Did u log on ur psn account on his ps4 ever. As long as one psn account is active the rest are free to use ps plus features. I bought my ps4 used from a friend n never had to subscribe to ps plus because his account is still attached to it

Yes my old accounts without ps plus work on his PlayStation.

Wait, I have an active PS+ on my PS4. I also made a profile for my son on the same PS4, but when he plays on his profile, it says he has to subscribe to PS+ in order to play online. I bought each profile required a PS+ subscription?

nah. make sure ur psn is tied to that ps4 as the "primary" ps4 and every other account can use ps plus on it to play online
