On a serious note, I still really enjoy sports and I love watching a lot of different games. I don't live and die by results of my favorite teams anymore, though. I used to be bummed out about losses. Now, I get happy if they win and a little disappointed if they lose but I move on pretty quickly. Too much other shite going on in life to be depressed over sports.

Exactly where I'm at. Also, I used to be huge baseball and NBA fan and now I wouldn't be caught dead watching a baseball game and will only watch the NBA Finals and then it's not close to must-watch TV, although last year was awesome. One thing I will say- as a Wisconsin Badger football & basketball and GB Packer fan I have been very lucky in that our teams have generally been very competitive in the past 20 years or so with varying degrees of success and we always have hope for a good-to-great-season. Contrast that with friends I have here in AZ who are ASU, Suns, DBacks or Cards fans. The Cardinal fans have had some success but the rest have stunk for years and they never have anything to look forward to. I have friends who played football for ASU in the 80's and 90's and even they are apathetic about the team these days and don't even go to the games anymore. I can't even imagine what it must be like to not even have any hope after the first few games of the season.
