I can attest to this OP. If your career is in a funk, and you're a hard worker, you can make up a lot of ground in a relatively short period of time at a local firm. You will need to do your research and find a good one but you know that already I'm sure.

Got some good news. I got a contract gig as an accountant at a downtown bank. I plan to do great at this and hopefully complete my CPA certification this year.
