Should I shop a boat at several dealers?

Do boat dealers have much leeway in the boat prices? Would it be worth my time to shop the same boat at different dealers or is the price pretty set in stone from the manufacturer?

I'd shop locally and online. A boat with what you want is the same here or in FL. Price is the only difference and whatever transfers are needed.

Price is not set in stone. You can bargain. When I was looking at boats they had a 2015 and a 2014 outside next to each other. Both had identical upgrades and I looked at both boats for three days. I was interested in the 2014 because it was three thousand cheaper. Then I made an offer to pay the same price for the newer 2015 boat and to my surprise he accepted.

I bought one last year from a dealer in fla bc I thought I was saving 2k. Well, the person who ordered it didn't do it correctly and I only saved 500$ which was still ok for a 2 hour ride to me. Anyway, it's under warranty now and I had to bring it back to fla bc the scumbag dealers close to home wouldn't work on it bc I didn't buy it there. So my advice would be to pay a little more if you can buy it close to home. Boat dealers are not like car dealerships unfortunately.

Buying a boat should be like buying a car/truck.....shop until you get the best deal

i looked at buying a boat in TX to save on the sales tax (6.25 vs 10) they said if i did the financing through them then They would require i title it in LA and that would require making up the difference in taxes.
DAMMIT, it wouldnt be so bad if i knew where the high taxes benefited anyone. Roads/infrastructure out here are awful.
