Completely agree. I really enjoy MOS. All the complaining about the destruction was amusing to me. Is it really a stretch to assume that if some superpowers came here there wouldn't be any collateral damage? It's a ridiculous complaint.

Well, it's not the destruction itself that is the problem, it is how oblivious Snyder is to what is going on off screen. I couldn't believe what I was seeing when I first saw it. If you can perceive that thousands perished due to Zod and Superman's duel, then it makes Zod's death entirely pointless and ridiculous.
I still don't believe that dozens of people went through that script and didn't see that incredible narrative flaw. And it's an easy fix: replace the nameless family of 4 with Lois. That's it. Snyder thought none of this through, and has Superman and Lois playing tongue tag at Ground Zero.
