Because not all Christians had a problem with the movie. I'm Christian and throughly enjoyed Aronofsky's take on the story, thought it took a lot from the banned/lost Book of Enoch.
Many Bible thumpers aka certain Protestant faiths/followers took great offense to the movie because they believed it did not follow their strict interpretation of the biblical story.

Much like everything else in the Bible, it's a plagerized story from ancient Mesopotamia. I feel sorry for the children who had parents arguing over the historical accuracy of a myth.
If humanity has to start from scratch a few thousand years from now, I wonder what kind of shite they'll dig up and start to grovel to?
