Only linked it because you mentioned JP. I know St. Tammany, Zachary, Ascension offer close to $45k to start. I don't know every parish's salary schedule.

I'm not trying to argue with you over teacher salary. I think they should be paid more. I was trying to point out that charter schools do not offer higher salaries for teachers.

This is relative, is my point. Charter schools in NOLA pay more than traditional schools in the greater new orleans area. That's the only way they can compete because you get way fewer days off and the hours are longer.
